Why we do it
Every woman deserves to feel safe, valued, and whole.
But for many, life becomes a constant state of survival—caught in situations that are too volatile for their safety and that slowly chip away at their sense of identity, dignity, and worth. Abuse—whether emotional, physical, financial, or spiritual—creates a prison that is difficult to escape, especially when support feels out of reach.
Her Exit exists to change that.
We walk alongside women as they courageously exit environments that threaten their safety and diminish their personhood. Our mission is to be a refuge and a resource—offering practical help, spiritual encouragement, and a clear path toward healing and freedom.
We believe every woman deserves the chance to rebuild her life with dignity, hope, and the unwavering support of a loving community. Through mentorship, resource navigation, and faith-based guidance, we help women reclaim their voices and step into the future God has prepared for them.
This is more than an exit. It’s an entrance—into purpose, peace, and possibility.
Sometimes, when you're in the midst of a battle, it’s hard to tell up from down or right from left. You just know—deep in your soul—that something isn't right. The confusion becomes so overwhelming that you start to think things you never imagined you would.
For me, this battle was domestic violence. At the time, I couldn’t even name it—but that didn’t make the weight of it any less soul-crushing. Slowly, through many God-appointed moments, I began to see the truth of what I was facing: plain and simple abuse. And I realized—God was not in favor of it at all.
As I searched for ways to improve my situation, God planted a deep calling in my heart: to help women like me navigate this cruel and complex prison. While seeking a way out and looking for support, I discovered just how limited the options were. But by His grace, help did come—and I was able to escape.
That calling from God never left me.
Through countless moments of clarity, courage, and divine prompting, I took the steps He laid before me. And when God tells you to do something, you move—because He will carry you through.
Her Exit was born from this place of faith and purpose. It's not just a nonprofit—it’s a movement, a mission, and a ministry. A place where women can find the strength, support, and hope they need to take their own exit from abuse, fear, and limitation.
Let’s journey together and see what God can accomplish when we walk in faith and build His Kingdom—one woman, one step, one miracle at a time.
